Just once? I've been going around in that state for years, and see no end to it.

Why?

You doubted Descartes need to doubt but only once in ones life, not the perpetual doubting you claim. I was just trying to up the doubt count. Similar to a
double negative making a positive, does a 'double indecision' make an affirmation? Trying to be ironical here.
Peace, AJ

Descartes said "at least once", so that doesn't limit the experience to once.

Not at all. I borrowed that one myself. Heard it first in college.

Descartes is wrong, Pyrronian skepticism sucks.

I think we're all putting Descartes before the horse.
Sorry, old one, but it never gets old to me. |

I'd have nothing against anyone in the general public not knowing how to pronounce Descartes. Hell, it's a wonder I know how to pronounce it, having
rarely (if ever) discussed philosophy outside a text format, except with my brother. But a philosophy major in their third or fourth year? How does that
happen? One wonders why this person chose their major, if they were apparently paying so little attention. They definitely didn't pick the major for its
career prospects...

Knowing that Descartes was a man and not a woman is often an indicator that one has actually read some of his work as well.

In college, I had an English masters level tutor argue vehemently with me that Ayn Rand was a man. She was pissed when I showed her Ayn's pictures.
